LAZDA FILMS TERMS OF SERVICE
These Terms of Service govern the cooperation between Lazda Films, Sandis Lazda (referred to as the “Videographer”) and the client (referred to as the “Client”).
By confirming the booking and paying the deposit, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia.
BOOKING AND DEPOSIT
The event date is reserved only after written confirmation and receipt of the deposit payment.
The deposit:
guarantees the Videographer’s availability for the agreed date;
is non-refundable in the event of cancellation by the Client;
compensates the Videographer for declining other bookings for that date.
PAYMENT TERMS
Following booking confirmation, the Client will receive an invoice for the deposit.
The deposit must be paid within 5 (five) calendar days from the date of invoice issuance.
The booking becomes valid only upon receipt of the deposit.
The remaining balance must be paid no later than the wedding day or prior to it, in accordance with the issued invoice.
If payment is not made within the agreed timeframe, the Videographer reserves the right to:
suspend services,
withhold delivery of final materials until full payment is received,
or terminate the agreement unilaterally in the event of substantial payment delay.
CANCELLATION AND FORCE MAJEURE
If the service cannot be provided due to force majeure circumstances (including but not limited to illness, accident, natural disasters, government restrictions, or other circumstances beyond reasonable control), the Videographer shall:
inform the Client without delay,
make reasonable efforts to assist in finding a replacement professional,
refund any payments received.
In all cases, the Videographer’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the Client.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The Videographer shall not be held responsible for:
limited lighting or poor audio conditions caused by the venue environment;
speakers refusing to use microphones;
technical issues occurring at the venue;
actions of third parties (guests, venue staff, other service providers);
situations where filming is restricted by venue management or officials.
COPYRIGHT AND USE OF MATERIALS
In accordance with the Copyright Law of the Republic of Latvia, all intellectual property rights, including economic and moral rights, to the created audiovisual works remain the sole property of the Videographer.
The Client is granted a non-exclusive, unlimited personal license to use the final delivered materials for private purposes.
It is strictly prohibited to:
alter the video content,
apply additional filters or edits,
re-edit or modify the footage without written permission from the Videographer.
The Videographer reserves the right to use the created materials for professional portfolio, website, social media, advertising, exhibitions, and other promotional purposes, unless the Client has requested full confidentiality in writing prior to the event date.
CONFIDENTIALITY OPTION
The Client may request complete non-publication of materials.
This option must be agreed upon separately in writing and may be subject to an additional fee.
FILMING APPROACH AND CREATIVE DISCRETION
The Videographer works in a documentary, author-driven style.
Creative decisions including shot selection, editing structure, and music choice remain at the professional discretion of the Videographer.
The Videographer does not guarantee the capture of specific shots if limited by timeline, third-party actions, or event dynamics.

Full-day coverage includes up to 12 hours of continuous filming, typically starting from preparations and continuing until the evening celebration and party.
Coverage usually extends through the key moments of the reception, including speeches, first dance, and the beginning of the party atmosphere.
Additional hours beyond the agreed coverage time are subject to prior arrangement and an additional fee.
